New bowtie fabrics. Dark grey with large floral, navy with cream polka dot (the colors on my computer are crazy—I’ll post a close up of this fabric) and light grey with intricate floral design.
Sorry for the hiatus! New and improved bowtie! This time, my blue floral paisley is a bit smaller in size. I’m also considering a narrower band to compensate for the smaller wingspan. What do you think?
I had two gigs in two weeks for my jazz band. Naturally, I wore the two-tone paisley and neon black paisley bowties as accents for them both!
All ready for my Tweet Up! Today’s bowtie is olive floral paisley on mauve. I’m wearing a seagreen shirt, grey-blue shorts with a grey plaid belt.
This was a fun find: a cast iron sewing machine. Its design is way different from my modern one; plus, it’s extremely heavy. Best part? It was a whole $15! Bad news though…it seems to be missing an adaptor so I can’t actually see if it works. Does anyone know how to use pedal-less sewing machines? There’s a big motor in the back that seems to have some sort of function.
But seriously, how cool is that?
Going to a summer party today. Wearing checkered blue shorts with a light gray ‘uniform’ shirt from H&M. Of course, the mauve and olive bowtie had to come along. Or should I wear the turquoise with sundial?
Also, while in the elevator of my building, a very nerdy boy told me he liked my bowtie. I said “Thanks, I made it!” to which he responded “I commend you, good sir”.
That’s a first for me….
Found this material on sale for $1/yard. Not really strong enough to hold up to bowties, though. Perhaps it will become a pin cushion or throw pillows. Fire-red/orange circular print. Matches best with light blue/lavender.
